Rope Swing Seats are the perfect addition to a tree house, or on a nearby tree branch. They do not come with rope, as many people like to buy their own. But we do sell a suitable rope by the foot as well. When ordering rope from us, please order a few extra feet to allow for adjustments and for the distance that the knots will take! You must choose a 1/2" rope because anything bigger will not fit in the hole! Click to see the Rope
**Installation, Safe Use and Maintenance Instructions**
IMPORTANT: To keep children safe from harm, follow these precautions and instructions when installing, using, or maintaining this playground equipment. You can also call us at 1-800-227-7529 for more information or see http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/pubs/324.pdf.
Due to the thermo dynamics and lower heat transfer properties of plastics, plastic slides are preferred over metal slides for play equipment. Although plastic slides may become as hot as metal, they insulate better and don’t transfer the heat as quickly. Because of these properties, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recommends plastic slides and plastic surfaces over bare metal.
Regardless of lower heat transfer properties, plastic play equipment can still become hot enough ‐‐ in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight ‐‐ to cause burns. Plastic slides are safe, tried and true, but as is the case with all playground equipment, parents and supervisors must monitor the children in their care, make certain that the equipment is appropriate for their age, and always check playground surfaces for excessive heat before allowing children to play. Installation: Thread the nylon rope through the hole in center of the Disk and tie a knot at the bottom. Hang from swing hanger.
Safe Use: This is for children 5-12 year olds only. Not for Adults. Adults should supervise children at all times. Do not allow children to stand on or use unsafely. Do not allow it to be used if damaged.
Maintenance: Do the following to reduce the chance of serious injuries. Check monthly for cracks, rust, missing rivets, open S-hooks or evidence of vandalism such as cutting, metal showing through the material or bent seats from children standing on them. Tighten and lubricate all metallic moving parts per manufacturer’s instructions. Check all protective coverings on nuts, bolts, pipes, edges, corners and all moving parts including swing hangers, swing seats, ropes, cables, chains and shackles. Replace as needed. Make sure there are no exposed footings, anchoring devices, rocks, roots, holes or any other obstacles in or around playground equipment. In high use areas these inspections should be done more frequently. Clean with mild soap and water when you do the monthly maintenance checks.
Any damage from vandalism, abuse or misuse VOIDS all warranties.
