These swing seats are made from EPDM: Ethylene-propylene-diene-monomer which is a synthetic rubber material which helps prevent crazing, cracking and oxidizing. They measure 5” x 24” and have 2 stainless steel inserts at either end of the seat with a stainless steel strip spot welded to each of end inserts. There are 4 stainless steel washers, ½” thick, welded to each side of each insert then molded into the rubber. The seat should last 2 years in harsh conditions and up to 5 years in optimal conditions. Some conditions may require replacement sooner. Holds up to 1400 lbs. Chains are 66" long.

**Installation, Safe Use and Maintenance Instructions**

Installation: Make sure when seat is installed the warning label is visible. You will need to connect Large end S-hooks or H shackles from the grommet hardware on the seat to the chain and then S-hooks or shackles from the chain to the swing hangers. When using Shackles the largest end attaches to the seat. If standard fasteners are used the inserts could pull out and cause serious injury. The seats need to be not more than 2 ft off the ground. Hangers need to be spaced 2 ft from the end of the set and 2 ft apart for each swing. You will need to make sure the S-hooks are closed to within .04 to meet ASTM safety standards. To do this you will need to use our S-hook pliers or a regular pair of channel lock pliers.

WARNING: Once the S-hooks have been opened they will have to be replaced to avoid injuries from coming open and/or breaking. Make sure that the shackles used are tightened and if you use the shackle swing hangers for the chain that these also are tightened. Inspect regularly or use Loctite® to make sure bolt is still tight.

Safe Use: This seat is for children 5-12 year olds only. Not for Adults. Adults should supervise children at all times. Do not allow children to stand on seat or use unsafely. Do not allow it to be used if damaged.

Maintenance: Do monthly routine maintenance checks for cracks, rust, missing rivets, open S-hooks or evidence of vandalism such as cutting, metal showing through the material or children standing on seats and crushing or bending the seats. Make sure there are no exposed footings, anchoring devices, rocks, roots, holes or any other obstacles in or around playground equipment. This will reduce serious injuries. In high use areas these inspections should be done more frequently. Clean with mild soap and water when you do the monthly maintenance checks.

If you have questions about Duties and Taxes, you should contact the appropriate government office in your receiving country and determine the amount you will be required to pay. If you refuse to pay the duties and taxes, the shipping company will deny delivery of your order and return it to TreeHouse Supplies, Inc. If this happens we will deduct the cost of the return shipment from your refund amount. If we receive a bill for duties and taxes unpaid by you the customer, we will invoice you for those fees and you are obligated to pay.

We will not ship to freight forwarding companies. We use Fedex to deliver all of our worldwide shipments.

Window Shipping:

FedEx charges by DIM weight not actual window weight. You can click here to see how they calculate the shipment. So for example: Our 24x36 window's actual weight is 20 lbs, however, FedEx will rate the package at 57 lbs. because the box size is 38" x 8" x 26". Please email us if you have any questions prior to ordering.

Express Order Restrictions:
Express orders must be received by 2pm EST to be guaranteed to ship that day. Express orders received after that time will be sent out the following day. Some exceptions may be made but they are at the sole discretion of Tree House Supplies, Inc. If you have an emergency and need parts delivered by express service, but have missed the cut off time, contact us and we will try to accommodate you. We may charge a fee if the shipment has to be hand delivered to the commercial shipper. The fee is based on a case by case basis.
