Breathe new life into an aging treehouse without removing the original fasteners. These kits address the condition of the original fasteners and ensure that your treehouse will be structurally sound for decades to come. 

With time, trees often grow over the original fasteners. Where perch real estate is lost due to tree growth, you can easily accommodate any new requirement by adding our patented TAB extension components over the original fasteners, along with a Strut or Suspension Kit for reinforced support.  

Common problems that our patented Treehouse Integrated Support System™ Tab Extender solves include: 

• Tree growth over TAB perches, resulting in reduced beam clearance and tree health issues;
• Tree growth that consumes suspension anchor points, rendering them un-inspectable and potentially unsafe.

Integrate TISS™ Struts and Suspension Anchors with your treehouse attachment bolts (purchased separately) on a new build, for extra peace of mind in scenarios where additional reinforcement may be needed:

• multi level structures
• engineering & permitting reasons 
• one side of structure carrying a lot of load
• building for commercial or rental purposes
• adding heavy features like a hot tub
  
• smaller trees, where TAB installation depth is limited
• trees with reduced load-carrying capacity (low compression strength, cavities in otherwise healthy trees)
• Treehouses built in high-wind areas, where TAB connections will experience greater movement/dynamic loading

Generally, you would not need to use struts or cables on anything smaller than a 6x12 TAB for a new build. 

If you need more capacity, it is cheaper and simpler to just upgrade the connection (Lag Bolt to CORE TAB, CORE TAB to 3x9, then 3x9 to a 6x12), vs. adding a Strut or Suspension Cable.  The support end of a TISS™ Kit uses up a couple of inches of Perch real estate, so it is better to use it on a 12" perch, to start with.  We have installed struts on 3x9 TABs, but only very specific/unique applications.
